Six line wrasse and false percula clown
can you put them togheter in a Qaurintine tank for 6 weeks
or is it better to put them separate Kaboke |

definitely, depending on how big that tank is. How big is it? I had a sixline w/2 regular ocellaris clowns in my old 55, and then had another one in my 40 with 2 black ocellaris and they were all fine together... Just make sure its not like a 10g...if it is, then i'd only do one at a time.
Also, i'd only put one fish in your tank at a time anyways, so really there should be no point to putting both in QT at the same time. In a tank that small, you're gonna have to wait at least 3 weeks before putting the next fish in...so why not wait till one is already in the tank and then get the other?

My 02
Qting two small fish in a ten gallon is possible but given the size of your ST combined with the increased difficulty in QTing I would avoid if possible. Slow additions to the show tank allow the ST to acclimate to the bio load .. thats a good thing and helps the tank mature. Qting two fish at the same time makes qting tougher - especially for new aquarist. You increase the likelihood of introducing more than one disease/parasite making treatment a potential PIA because some meds are incompatible . Managing water quality is twice as hard (more food, more poop, more toxic ammonia, water changes etc.) and acclimating one fish to captivity is tough enough .. two can be much harder. Hope this helps. |

Given the size of your ST .. I would recommend you add one fish at a time.

ditto...i'd still only do one even though its 20g. If they were tiny fish...maybe, but still, why risk it? Like i said earlier, you dont wanna add more than one at a time to the display anyways, so there's really no point to do 2 at a time in the qt...one will be there longer than the other will.

Yes you can do that ... just make sure the clowns are the same species and young.
Some people want to purchase and add the clowns to the tank at the same time .. that also OK. I think the chances of clowns coming from the same LFS tank having different diseases are minimal and if both clowns have brooklynella or ich then treatment would not pose a problem in QT. With that said .. Qting and adding your six line is what I would do first. Hope this helps. |
