Don't.

Latz have very poor survival record in captivity.

Be certain of the ID before paying a dime, juveniles don't look like adults, and some black A. polymnus are pawned off as Latz.

Be certain you have the right environment and skill set, that is a alot of coin for a touchy species with a terrible captive track record.

no, these are adults, and they are indeed latz, and very nice ones at that, but i'm still not sure what i'm going to do. I'm strongly considering buying one large one and seeing how it goes.

i don't need to pair it up,... i'm not necessarily trying to breed it. Just hope its happy. Still trying to determine sex...? And i got it from a guy here in Cali who's been looking for me for a while. Basically some came in, he called, i picked up.

Well, as a temperary solution, he/she is living in my main display with my other 7 TP's. I was worried, but they seem to like eachother. Here are some pics. This thing dwarfs my TP's.

Just wanted to add that this guy is amazing to watch. Such a nice fish.

no clue, my guess is that they only come from one place in the world, so pretty rare.

nah, nothing as rare as chrysogaster

But to their collector & exporter's credit, all of the ones that landed this year seems to have very good shipping record. I've seen 5 or 6 shipments coming in this year and not alot were DOA or develop brook afterwards.

*sigh*

I really hope the Latz doesn't end up developing Brook and killing off your other 7 clowns.

QT FTW.

Yeah, me too,......

QT - Quarantine

FTW - ?????????

I know this means absolutly nothing, but...

He/she seems extremely healthy, eating well, has acclimated himself to each and everyone of my anemone's and looks like its having a great time.
