? for those with galaxy ballasts...

Do your lights occasionally flicker?? My phoenix bulbs did it, and now my iwasakais do it so that rules out the bulbs... does anyone else expirence a flicker using gallaxy ballasts??

Nope. Might be a bad ballast. If you were closer, I'd loan you one till they replace it for you. I had one bad ballast when I first got them. It kept tripping breakers. It was replaced immediately. Depends on who your vendor is.

I'm running dual galaxy on 2 Reeflux 12k SE 250W bulbs i don't see any flickering yet. when you say flickering is it really obvious or slight flickering and barely noticeable. I think mine flickers really little and kind of hums a lil. Let me know if I should be worried.

after talking with Jose and others, I need to send the ballast for warranty. I got it when it first came out so hopefully the bug has been worked out...

Any word on how fast these get repaired under warranty?

I just got a 400w galaxy & it flickers Manufactured 4/07. Kinda sux as they claim "Constant wattage output — no lamp flickering. " bs man.....

anyways, looks like a common problem. How fast are these coming back?

I could not even begin to tell you how PO'd I would be if mine flickered. I would def get a replacement. Did you happen to get yours from marine depot? (I see you are local). I am sure they would swap it right out and you would be back up in an hour.

Just Got the 250 Lumatek. Looks high quality. Stated each ballast is QC run for 12 hours. 3/5 tear warranty. I had my share of bad ballasts. MD doesn't carry 400's.

I had a problem with a Tek light. I thought I was going to have to box it up and ship my whole fixture to Washington but after I called them, they had me call National Garden Wholesale a division of Sunlight Supply. They have a warehouse/ repair center on Grove St. in Ontario 909-930-1990 , the repair Technician's name was John if I remember correctly. He had me fixed in less than an hour, great service!
