I used about 100 meters of steel in this monster stand,
and the only other place I have seen something like this is in a powerplant I worked at building.

its nice to see a properly built fish tank stand. you know there will never be a problem with it bowing and causing stress on the tank.

linx did a real good job with that stand and it would probably hold a cement truck like cbui2 said.

It's great to have a fellow reef nut like linx take part in the construction

Ditto. My subscription is paying for this and it seems like a good investment!

Now we just need "Nemo" class ships in the game that are clownfish colored.

A "nemo" class ship would be great. Problem is it would have slow movement and get cranky whenever anyone got near it. Certainly a good investment and I look forward to the progress.

CCP are the developers of Eve-Online. An awesome multi-player space game with the whole galaxy on one server cluster (unlike the shards of WoW and others).

Good to see other Eve players here at RC. Unfortunately Eve has played a large role in my own tank's neglect, lol.

Looking forward to the desync patch and Reikoku ftw.

wow... this build is awesome. Eventhough we get picture updates a few times a week I still can't wait for more. Damn, guess I'm hooked already. Can't wait to see what this develops into.

One mean and noisy saw

Saturday and wall has been chopped up.

When I came in Sunday I saw they had finished the job. Looking good.

Forgot to mention it but I also recently placed an order for 1000 pounds (~450kg) of cherry picked Tonga and Fiji Liverock from Marc at marcorocks.com.

Marc has been very helpful and has been sending me photos of some very nice looking rocks. Some up to 36"x20" at ~70pounds.

Some very talented guys from the art department here at CCP are very interested in helping me design the aquascape. I can hopefully post some concept art here soon

I plan on building most of the landscape with dry rock so I can build it securely. I want to drill holes and fasten the rock on rods and 'tie' it together.
