I have pink star polyps, basicly the same thing just dif color. Anyway mine grew like a weed when I had pc's I had to frag it constanly, but since I added the halides it has slowed down to almost a halt. I frag mine in the tank and never had a problem, and when I had the pc's I was fragging it every week almost.

here shortly, once I have enough gsp from the same strain, I'm going to have a race

three similar size rocks, three similar frags of gsp, three seperate tanks, different flow, lighting etc.

440W VHO on a 75G, great flow
96W PC on a 30, great flow
BioCube 14 with stock lighting, MJ900

Any bets?

My GSP's have thrived in both PC and MH lighting, but the growth really took off with the HQI's. I'll see if I can get some growth pics...

When I made the switch from PC's to HQI's, they seemed a bit shocked at first. The actually stayed closed for a couple days, but once they opened off they just took off. Almost wish they'd slow down :P

Ive heard mixed reviews on it, but I bought mine used and the reefer I bought it from he loved it.

but from the 1-2 weeks Ive had mine I cant complain, emits alot of heat, but with the built in fans it keeps it cool, but the fans in most lighting systems are loud, mine are no exception, but are alot quieter sence I did a sylicon mod
