a couple of noobie questions
i converted my ol' skilter to a HOB fuge but ive kind of had a brain fart as far to what marco algae actually does in tanks. does it remove nitrates, i ASSume it consumes phosphate and excess nutrients?
i have this tiny fuge full of what i believe to be grape chaeto and it needs some pruning! is there any special way to do this? or do i just go in there and start cutting? thanks for the help! |

I just pull a handful out! It comes out in clumps...
Macro does eat nitrate, phosphate and iron. |
