Anyone have a school of anthias in a 180?
If so, what species? Number of males, number of females? How ling have they been in the tank, etc...

Tank is 260 gallons. 60L x 36w x28h. I have roughly 45 anthias of varied species. Hutchi, Squamipinnis, bartlets, bimacultaus, carriberri, bicolors and a male squareblock. If you have questions on any one specific let me know. Everyone gets along pretty well. Newest addition was a male bimaculatus who is being set back by the male squareblock. Think size and coloration is close he thinks its a rival. Let me know if I can help.

WOW! 45! Thats amazing! I'd love to see some pics, you must have a good filtration set up.
Do you think due to such a large number, that aggresion is dispersed enough as in nature? What other tank mates do you have in there? Due the anthias tend to hang out together? I have about 20 mix anthias in our 1200 gallon reef, and they group very losely. Maybe I should add many many more. How often are you feeding and what?

I'll post some pics soon. Filtration is something I'm working to upgrade...lost of choices...just not sure which one yet. Aggression occurs minimumly due to the sheer number of fish. Only one I can see as I mentioned earlier is the squareblock/bimac males. Other tank mates inclued 3 tangs (purple, yellow and pacific blue) some cromis both green and blue as well as a rabbit fish. Overall a neat display IMO but need to look at more room for everyone. I'd say if you are working with 1200 gallons you could surely add alot more fish. I'm a real sucker for anthias so that would be my choice but there are surely other schooling options as well.

Well the 1200 gallon is the work tank, I am looking at a 180 display, which i wouldl ike a group of anthias in as well.
