Hammer with tissue bubbling?

I have a hammer coral that has been in my tank for about one month. It has developed a bubble on one of the heads that is it's own tissue. The coral looks good besides this. I am using power compacts and have about 6 watts per gallon. It is about 75% towards the top of the tank. I was wondering if this could be because it has to much light, or if this is just what they do before they split heads. I have heard they will do this before they split heads. Let me know what you guys think.

A lot of times, when one of the euphyllia family is getting ready to divide into another head, you will see a bubble like you describe. When my frogspawn gets ready to divide, I will always see a big grape like bubble.
