Cheato help

I have chaeto growing in my fuge well my wet/dry that I turned into a fuge and it is connected to my sump. I now have chaeto getting to my sump where my return is located. How do I prevent the chaeto from getting into my display tank. Can I put the pump in some type of sock?

Goto home depot and get a piece of plexiglass (acrylic) cut it and silicone it between the fuge and the pump. You might have to cut multiple pieces to make a baffle, once that is done place some screen where the water flows from the fuge to the pump.

It should work fine, just make sure to keep the screen clean so you do not have an overflow.

Good Luck
