I really like this tank. I am thinking about doing a 6'x3'x15 inches high display tank and this completed my decision. I just wish I could build my own tank like you did

Thank you for your kind words Mr. Furious. At first I was also thinking going 15" as heigth but after talking to some people about propagation tanks I decide to go only 12"because you really don't need much heigth in a prop tank. My next tank is going to be 8" tall.
Good luck with your prop tank.

Ricardo,
I really like what you've done. My ideal display tank is a little deeper and shallower than most spec tank sizes; it looks like you hit the proportional sweet spot. Your cabinetry is simple and clean. Slap some stain and varnish on the wood and I'd be happy to have a display tank that looked that nice. Great job! Nathan |

Very Nice Ricardo!
You made an excellent work in the assembly of the system, and I wait that you continue with this will for the propagation... I wait with some curiosity the new features of new tank (you do not forget them photos ) PS - you have ones frags interesting, mainly for my collection of zoanthus

quite intresting (very good) work, RIccardo,
In some past post you wrote your Fungia speciments are from anthocauli. Was the parent stimulated to produce them (how to?) or it was just fortuitous? Sergio. |

Ringraziarla sergioc, the fungia acanthocaulii was fortuitous. The old Fungia acanthocaulii died past 3 years producing small fungias.

Hello all,
Ricardo, maybe I am wrong, but I can't see Live Rock (or just a few pieces) How are you doing the filtration for your system? I know you are the king of guy that want to see all things put together real fast. Assuming this how about pictures of your top tank? Cheers and hope to see that prop soon as well as your other two tanks. R(\/)G |

thx guys
Rui, you're welcome to visit me anytime. The biological filtration is being done with some live rock as you've mentioned, got some more also in sump. Hope the sand would become alive fast because I urgently need more space for frags in the tank - and remove all LR from there. I'm also doing weekly 13gal (50l) water changes with NSW. I'm waiting next month for setting up the top tank, now I don't have the money Sad news, all the Bangaiis died 2 weeks ago from crypt after introducing a new fish This prop tank is going to be corals only I guess... More pics from yesterday: This fellow is great at keeping LR clean from algae, the coralline algae is ok. It's really fun watching it crawling over the LR Yellow Turbinaria reniformis are doing great and frags from orange Montipora digitata are growing and branching like crazy fast. Galaxea Zoanthus Softies

sry, i meant to say 20 pepermint shrimp, yea, algarve was my favorite place, like hanging in mira d'aire with our cousins was cool too, soccer all day everyday, hanging with some family, like i dont speak much portuguese, but we still found a way to get through to eachother, i cant wait until we go back!
