Paris Hilton out of jail after 3 days

After all of her talk of "I just want to be treated like everyone else without special treatment."

A press conference is scheduled for this morning.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/0...ton/index.html

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Paris Hilton was freed from jail Thursday morning, just three days after she began serving what was to be a 23-day sentence for violating probation, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.

TMZ.com quoted what it called "unimpeachable sources" saying Hilton left the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, early Thursday.

The Web site said L.A. County Sheriff's Department would hold a news conference at 7 a.m. Pacific time (10 a.m. Eastern) to discuss her release.

Hilton checked into the facility Sunday night to begin serving a sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. The sentence, originally 45 days, was reduced to 23 for various reasons, including good behavior. (Watch Hilton enter jail )

She's still sentenced to 40 days house arrest, which is what would of been more reasonable in the first place.

They said it was for medical reasons. I'm guessing her alchohol withdrawal symptoms got to be too much.

It would be punishment if she lived in a shack. But face it, she lives in a mansion. You could get lost in it for three weeks before you realize where you are

Glenn Beck was saying that is was due to a sore on her mouth, caused by an outbreak of a "mysterious" illness.

I'm not sure I'd call her lap luxury. Boney yes, but something with long term riding comfort is more luxurious to me.

She's totally missing the boat IMO:

Paris Hilton in "The Prison Life"...

Episode one: Day one Paris is forced to make the difficult decision to become the prison "wife" of a 260lb Latina named Rosie for protection. Rated TVMA... includes grainy infrared "lights out" scenes.

Rock, whatever you have invested in her, I hope its tangible to throw such effort after a one man battle.

To be honest.....

When I got my first DUI I only spent 8 hours in the drunk tank and the judge called it time served.

Second DUI I only had to do 3 days at road camp. I do live in CA too so I think this is all just a bunch of hype......

To each their own opinion. No one's yet been told what the medical condition exactly is, but yet you proceed to bash her. Just doesn't make sense.

I may be wrong but i dont think she got special treatment. It s ajail overpopulation problem and its everywhere. So many minorities are arrested and held in jail on insanely minor offenses that there isnt enough space in jail for people actually sentenced.

Thats the ridiculousness of the system. If you are accusesd of a crime you sit in jail even though you are innocent until proven guilty but people already FOUND GUILTY and sentenced get out of jail early because the jail is full of people awaiting trial or sentencing who mayactually be innocent Makes no sense at all!!!

I just wish she'd move to Kamchatka so her scrawny butt would be out of the news.

She went to jail for parole violations.

"Justice system" is a misnomer and "Legal system" implies some sort of legitamacy. I think we should just call it the "government punishment system" and then we could stop pretending that it works.

You're right. Let's all wait to find out and then bash her.
