Hello All,

My name is Todd and I live in Middle Grove, NY (between Saratoga and Amsterdam). I have a 120g reef display tank with a 20g refugium and a 5g surge tank. I'm interested in joining CDMAS and I look forward to sharing reef info with the group.

Welcome Todd,

What do you have in your 120? How are you running your surge tank?

Bonjour!
Glad you found us.... What kinda surge you running? A borneman toilet bowl, a carlson gurgle, or something else? (that was very much in jest.... I know both of these folks).

The 120 has the following:
** a pair of Percula Clowns, (2) yellow-tail damsels and a bi-color Goby
** toadstool leather, green finger leather, green star polyps, blue mushrooms and pulsing xenia (several colonies)
** (2) peppermint shrimp, large black brittle star, 6+/- margarita snails, 12+/- red-leg hermit crabs
** argonite sand bed with 145# of live rock

The surge tank is a borneman style constructed from a 5-gallon salt pail.

The "flush" has been running since February with only minor adjustments, no problems.

Welcome Laf-Reef

glad to have you aboard - to let you know, there are at least 4 other members who live out here in the sticks: two in Gloversville, myself in Johnstown, and another in Amsterdam.

I also have a Borneman toilet (on the prop tank) which works like a charm!
