live rock and sand

Surely there is someone out there starting a tank in need of sand and live rock? Hate to let this sand become "dead" but I can't keep the tank up indefinitely. Anyone want some? Live rock is $2/pound and sand is cheap, make an offer.

Wynne, why don't you sell certificates for them at the auction and then the person who buys the amount of LR on the certificate can drive out and get it whenever you and they work out?
Just a thought
Laurie

I am just wanted to know because we have friends in the club who need LR. They have a 220 and only have about a 100lb or so and need a lot more so there tank doesn't look so empty. They are comming to the swap/auction. They just don't have interenet so I always post for them.... So let me know about the LR.

Would you take 60$ for 25lbs of LR and 25lbs of sand? I could pick it up at the frag swap or before if that is what you would prefer.

Also if not, what price would you like for 25lbs of each... I will need smaller pieces (they are going into a 25gal tank for my gf's birthday present).

Thanks,
Bellamy

Ok ... so I was just looking at the tank i got her and got out the tape measure and figured out her tank is a 29gal. So what would you want for 30lbs of each rock and sand? I can pickup whenever or wait till the swap if you prefer.

I'll have to go weight the available live rock tomorrow and will post then. I sold some today so not sure how many pounds of LR is left. Sand I still have plenty of.

If you have any left I may be able to take 30 lbs off your hands at the swap.

Lets see 55 gal tank 100 lbs LR + 30 lbs LR = yup I still have room for corals but the fish will have to go.

Here is what I have for live rock:
2 - 8 pound pieces (one has a little bit of star polyp on it, can scrape off)
1 - 6.4 pound piece
1 - 3 pound piece
1 - 2 pound piece (a green mushroom on this, can be scraped off)
Bellamy, sounds like taking both the 8 pound pieces would be too much big rock for you (these are substantial-looking), but if you want to come see them, feel free. I'll assume you want all the small ones.
Rose, I'll bring whatever Bellamy doesn't take to the meet for your friend.

Bellamy, do you want me to keep the fine and course grained sand as separate as possible, or mix them? Right now it is still fairly undisturbed so I can try to skim the course-grained off the top before digging into the fine, if you prefer separate. If Norridgewock (central Maine) is not too far a drive, it definitely would be easier if you came to the house prior to the meet. YOu can PM me.
Wynne
