small blue leg hermits

are these bad for a reef with mix corals.I have been noticing some hanging around my clams and now there are some nibble marks on the mantle.I feed every other day.Is this the reason they are eating my clams?

There are at least nine different hermits that are sold as "blueleg", they all fall into a greater catagory called tri-colored hermits.
