The magnets have to be enclosed in platic and must be strong enough to hold on to a frag. The that link on my previous post.

What kind of magnets are used in powerheads? They obviously aren't toxic and don't have to be enclosed in anything.

um, why not just glue your frags directly to the tank walls?

I've use a magnet cleaner to make a frag rack before................

but never used a magnet directly on a frag......................

If I may ask, what is the purpose of attaching a frag to a magent????

Glueing them to a magnet would allow you to grow plating montiporas, digitatas, or any othere type of coral that would grow and conceal the back wall. I think that'd be real cool.

Back to my original question, what kind of magnet is used in powerheads? These would be safe and wouldn't leach anything harmful into the water. Some of the rare earth magnets would be bad once they started to corrode. Surely, someone knows the answer!

because it looks cool/maximizes space in the tank for more corals. but mainly because it will look cool once the corals have grown up to a large size

In addition to the above reasons.... I had zenia on the glass before and it was nice but I couldn't move it around where I wanted.

The frags look good I think the glass should be covered with coraline and junk so the wall looks like rock.
