I'm trying to figure out what CBA stands for.

Captive Bred Acropora
Coral Banded Acropora
Cute Blue Acropora
Cobalt Blue Acropora
Colorado Born Acropora

Did I guess right?

Marc, darn close... Cool Blue Acro

Derek, come on over to my thread if you please. http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...&pagenumber=18 I'm always willing to have more people on board. BTW, you will learn very fast that I am not good at getting pics when people request them. I'll put a pic of that CBA on my wait list.

Lunch, sure, I'll have a pic of that CBA up in about 10 minutes.

Yep, Eric had a goal and now that it has been reached, he's back to staring at his corals again.

Are you becoming a softie?

I'll post the pic here as well. I'd like to try and get a top down shot, but haven't quite figured out how to pull that off. Gimme a few days to get a decent full tank shot.

Your wish is my command.

The picture unfortunately doesn't do it justice.

Wow, that thing looks awesome. I might have to have Bob make me one of those. I was thinking of using my scuba goggles.

Did you see the prototype Rich Durso posted in his thread? It is a floating box with outriggers.

post a link will you melev??

as i type i am acclimating 2 fish. i went to pick up a yellow eye kole tang as it was one of my favorite fish that i have ever had and the wife loved it. also it will eat any algae that i had in the tank. bad thing was that my last one nipped at my clams and was removed when i moved to my new apt a couple months ago. my wife hates it w/ just 3 fish and i couldn't get my copperbandS to live. so we planned on getting a yellow eye kole tang...well i mixed the shipment day last week so they put the 4 tangs in theier tanks. well i finally got a chance to get to the LFS today and the tank looked like CRAP!! it was small...no biggie...but had some tattered fins and looked like a few spots of ICH...so that was a no go.

but i did end up grabbing a bangaii cardinal and a firefish. i needed to use up my credit and i got to thinking that the tang will be a little big for my tank and add quite a bit to the bioload. so i ended up going w/ two smaller fish. hope they make a happy home. i am worried that the firefish will be a jumper but we will see how he does. i have the eggcrate w/ window screen on my tank so i hope he settles in and then doesn't decide to jump

wish them luck

well i put them in and went to supper w/ the wife. came home and turned the 13w actinic on to see what was up and let them wander around for a while.

crappy

mrs clown was less then a good hostess. she would nip and chase the firefish a little. also the firefish kept swimming in the corner...right were my tunze points and there was an emerald crab right there too. the fish would swim out of control and right next to the emerald crab. he would throw his arms up at the fish. well that little *$@*er nipped the top streamer 1/2 off the firefish. i bought that one for the long top fin and how nice it looked. little bastage!!

the bangaii is just hanging out ...no problems what-so-ever.

i shut the actinic back off and am gonna leave the reef dark for the rest of the night. they can have light tomorrow.

wish them luck

Eric, if you turn off the return pumps for 8 hours, these problems will be solved.

Just kidding. Sorry about that. I hate it when fish do that to each other. The good news is they grow those fins back. When I introduce a new fish, I tend to feed the tank at the same time to distract the heck out of my obese fish. It dulls their senses.

Well I have a new method if introducing fish lol.

I added an achilles tang that looked really healthy and my yellow small tang who thinks he is the boss decides that, "Hey, finally a tang my size roughly and I can boss his butt around." So for 2 days, he would chase him behind the rocks in the back corner.

Now for me, an achilles is a delicate fish and not the easiest to keep sooooo.... I tried removing the yellow tang. Placed a net in the tank and all the other fish and tangs swam into it except the yellow one. Smart PITA. So then I chase him around the tank. No go. At least the Achilles was eating Nori and alot of it.

So then I thought, I'm going to teach this yellow guy a lesson lol .

So everytime he chased him, I'd chase him with a net. I'd alternate with an acrylic rod which I'd tap him with. After about 4 hours (not non stop but every 15 minutes I'd spend 10 minutes) of doing this, he left him alone. They are now buddies and hang around each other. I don't know if this would work for any fish but it did for me.

So far he has been doing very well, packing on some weight and I'm hoping for the best. He only eats live brine and nori and constantly picks at the rock.

So my long story is....chase the PITA and give him a dose of his own medicine!

Wow, that's a camera box. Thanks for the link. I do like your design, Marc, given that you can actually connect the camera to the box itself. I was just thinking of a simple box for my camera. I'll have to see if Bob has any leftover acrylic to see if he could just build one for me.
