My tank is in the living room. Whenever something boring is on tv, it's real easy to just watch the tank instead.

From the front door:

Looking from the other side:

When we build our new home in the next few years, I have gotten permission to add a huge wall tank with an actual fish room. Woohoo!

Nice to see everyones' rooms. It is amazing the diversity of style we have here.

There seems to be a commonality with Reefers: reef tanks and big screen TVs. I only have 35" TV. I guess I need to get with the program!

Crystal -
Very nice room!
What kind of wood did you use on the stand and canopy? Is it Birds eye maple? - it looks great!
Congrats on the fish room - we are building a new house and I lost that battle....... but at least I got to move a wall 2' so I could plumb the chiller into the garage. This time I get to build my own stand and canopy so I'm looking for ideas.

Everytime I pull this thread up I say "WOW!" These rooms are awesome.

I'm beginning to think a big screen tv is almost essential reef equipment! Gotta get me one of them some day. My tv, well lets just say it's not very big.

Hehehe, it's funny, I was going to say, all these folks w/ these fancy TV's.. Where's your priority's man?!?!?! Anyone w/ a TV screen that's bigger than their tank should just stop calling themselves reefer's right now...

dlh5150- what you don't like my friend George?
Story is the cat kept killing real birds, that's how I got the empty cage. Then in went George, This is to symbolize that when the hen (wife) starts to peck the chicken (me) goes and hides in his cage (I call it man land).
As for the comment about big tanks and big screens, I don't know how I'm going to break it to the wife. You see I have a 110 gal tank now and a 55" TV. I'm upgrading the tank to a 187 so what size TV do I have to get???

I KNEW there would be an explaination! Maybe you should hold off a a big tank and TV and get a bigger bird cage. George looks kind of cramped in there!

OK all this talk about my sofa facing the wrong way. I pulled out the wide angle lense to show a better picture of the other chairs and sofas that can view the tank.

And I guess I'll show the other side with the big screen TV we reefers seem to need as well. (Lights turn off the tank at sometime )

Good job of changing the desktop back to Reef Central before taking the picture.
