When I remember to, and that is not that often, I mix up some mysis and cyclopeeze in salt water and use a syringe to put it right on my zoas. They suck most of it up and seem to enjoy it....although they do well even when I forget to do this for a couple of weeks.........
Just my experience!

Mine don't grow at all. Some of them I've had for over and see no growth. I run 2 x 65w pc lights over my 29g. One actinic one 10k. I just started feedeing DT's. So, hopefully that'll get things going. I also never ran a skimmer on this tank till now. I have a small diy in tank fuge with chaeto in it, but the chaeto does'nt tumbull. I heard it needs to tumbull to be effective.
