its called jelly. torch coral have a myth about them that they are easy to keep unfortunately this isn't the case. jelly occurs when the individual head dies and wastes away generally due to poor water conditions. torch likes relatively high flow and water conditions very much the same as a excellent sps tank. remove the damaged heads and do some water changes, use some trace element foods like coralgro and target feed too and it should be ok but keep on top of the water conditions. this is an all too common problem here in Australia where this coral grows like wildfires. As such its easliy collected looks great and sells quickly but in the hands of a person new to all this it often ends in tears.

It is most likely just expelling zoanthallae(sp), it is most likely not a damaged head, just unhappy or getting rid of waste

If you blow water on most things they will move in the direction it is going, that is just physics. Be more specific for him, I do not know what you mean exactly.
