Has anyone used Purigen??

Has anyone used Purigen? How do you use it and exactly what does it do?
I was reading about and I am curious. Would the Seachem Purigen 100mL Bag be good for a 9gallon nano?

The stuff is gold. Just drop the bag in a back chamber. Great water polisher and helps with nitrates. it's also rechargable so just get 1 bag.

Just started this week. Water is definately more clear. I have a small amount in a mesh bag placed in between my 2 overflows in my eclipse 29gallon. Seems to let enough water run through to p[olish nicely. I usually used a phospahte sponge monthly...no more.

I'm also interested and curious in this media. It seems like some pretty cool stuff. Although I'm wondering is this stuff like activated carbon on steroids...or what? Also, to my understanding this stuff is pretty much all you need for chemical filtration, correct? (Anything more would be over kill... )

Thanks!

Well, should I take out my carbon filter if it is an over kill? I am trying to resolve my HA issue using everything I can before trying some mollies on my one big rock......

I usually run Purigen and a small bag of carbon. Works great for me.

I used chemi pure for years, then I wanted to try Purigen. So I used it for about 6 months. I switched back to chemi pure.
