Just picked up an Octopus 3 pump skimmer from Mark at reefdepot.net. Its almost half the price of my EuroReef and is built just as good...Remember some skimmers will cost you double after you factor in the cost of running the high amp pumps.

IMHO Octopus or EuroReef are the only to go in the long run.

The Octo pumps use a lot of watts. Not sure how Octo is saving you power useage over the ER as Sedras and Gen-X use a lot too.

For wattage, nothing moves as much water + air with so little power as the Sicce pumps that ATI uses. Not even close.

Ledzep, you are welcome to come over and check out the ATI if you want.

Thanks, I will let you know if I would swing by. Would you have any more pictues of it? Like close ups? Is it a needle wheel? I might have to look into these skimmers some more.

Holy Crap thats a lot of bubbles! Thanks for those photos and video you are a BIG help. I think I might go with that skimmer. I'm still looking at reviews and information about them.

More suggestions would help too. Thanks everyone for their help, it is very much appreciated.

Here's my old H&S. They are great skimmers and very well built. I've never owned an ATI, so I won't comment on them.
