Should I buy it?

I'm getting an itchy finger, it is a NICE lens .

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...mm_f_5_6L.html

Edit: For those not in the know, the Canon 1200mm L is not only the largest lens Canon has ever made, its also the most expensive and as far as I know the rarest. Literally only a handful of these were ever made (had to be custom made) and there probably are only a handful of people on the planet that even KNOW exactly who has them.

Jeffrey CAN'T have it because I'm getting ready to put my order in! He can't! He can go play with his little lenses and leave these REAL lenses for me! ME! ME! ME!

You could buy a small telescope and have an adapter machined for less than that.

I'll rent it to you. $1500 a day, including days in transit to and from me.

Dino, tell you what, economize. Say you spot a grizzly you want a shot of, you just sneak up on him, wave hi, get him to say cheezeburger---get your shot with a simple lens...real nice teeth---
Then climb a tree fast!
