Question Is this SEABay's Last Meeting??

SEABay needs your vote of confidence to continue!

SEABay's primary reason for existence is to provide an opportunity for learning from, and meeting with, others with similar interests in saltwater tanks and their inhabitants. This requires participation from YOU or our whole reason for being is gone.

Recent meeting attendance has been dropping and we [SEABay] need to know if this is merely a temporary lull or whether you feel we no longer provide a useful function. The easiest way to answer this question is by your attendance [or non attendance] to this next SEABay meeting on November 17. If you feel that SEABay does [or can] provide a valuable addition to your hobby then please vote with your feet and try to attend this next meeting. If on the other hand you see SEABay as redundant, then you will respond accordingly. If you merely feel that the topics and/or activities are not what you would like to see or hear then please plan to attend as we will use part of the nights meeting to solicit feedback that will help shape future meeting directions (assuming we get sufficient attendance to warrant the effort).

While various avenues are available for getting information on marine tanks these days, we [SEABay] feel that the personal contact one gets in an informal setting such as SEABay offers many advantages both for lively interactive discussion as well as making friends that is more difficult to do in many of these other venues. In the past we have brought in many well known guest speakers and authors from around the country (e.g., Scott Michael, Bob Fenner, Eric Borneman, Rob Toonen, Anthony Calfo and many others) as well as put on workshops, roundtables, auctions and even nights designed just to get to know each other better. If you feel these type of activities are worth your attention and continued support then we hope you will give us your vote of confidence by attending this next meeting in November and in doing so, show us that there is still a sufficient level of interest to justify our continued time and efforts.

Hope to see you there in November
SEABay Board of Directors.
