Post some pics. Did your powerhead come with attachments, ones that allow you to angle the flow down?

Aim the powerhead at the side of the tank and under the top brace. The top brace will help contain most of the bounce-back and direct it towards the middle of the tank instead of splashing it over the lip. This helps a lot but you still need to wipe down your lites every week.

Do you have the airline connected to the PH? If so removed it.

Yea my friend, You don't need an airline on the powerhead. Great for fresh, not for salt.

Nah, if you take the airline off it stops blowing air but water continues to flow. Its just harder to see the water without the air bubbles in it.

We all started some where, and learned as we go. Also now that the salt creep should lessen you might move your PH up so break the surface tension, this will help with air exchange and keeping the scum file off the top.

I'm probably getting two Koralia2 or 3. They have great gentle flow and use way less power then any other power head. The only advantage that standard power heads have over a Koralia is that they could be used as a filter with a filter sponge attachment.

What is salt creep? Is that when thick chunks of salt get on your equipment? Does it only get on stuff when water splashes on it? I got some on a tube coming out of the water and some even on top of the hood next to the light bulb. How is this possible? It's on the other side.
