My First Anemone
Hey everyone - I am new to the hobby.. Set my tank up about 6 weeks ago.. Finished cycling about 14 days ago.. I currently have 2 scooter blennies, a small clown fish, and a SMALL regal blue tang in my tank with some not live rock lol. I would eventually like to purchase a nice Anemone for the clown to hopfully take care of, but I have some questions..
1. What would be a good starter Anemone, I have had aquariums for a while but I am new to the marine world. 2. Are their species that are "easier" to take care of than others? 3. What are the requirements for a given species? My PH is perdy good.. Hangs out arround 8.25~8.28. Salinity is 1.024~1.025 and all other specs are within limits.. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bubbletips seem to be the easiest, but a well established tank is better for them. I'd wait 6-12 months before even attempting one.

you will need more light to keep an anemone and corals in your 90g. |

agreed, you don't have enough light for an anemone...also, even the easiest are finicky about water quality and you are only 6 weeks in, you will no doubt have water quality issues sometime in the near future...stick with fish and if you get more lights, some corals first...after 6 months or more when you are comfrtable maintinaing water stability, then go for a BTA, they are by far the easiest anemones to keep IMHO
