missing siphon?

i just bought a crocea, its been in my tank for a few hours now. its all brown with a blue rim, i noticed that the siphon tube was missing, most likely damaged from something, can this effect the clam by much or will it just grow back? also are the colors normal? the clams seems healthy, it retracts when i swing my hand over the lights.
