Favia? placement

I was wondering where I should place these frags as I am not completely sure what type of LPS they are.

I'm am pretty sure both are some sort of favites, the first I think a favia. The second is an old pic from when I first got it and it is in bad shape but it has recovered nicely since then and has started growing tissue back over the skeleton. If I were to leave them on the sand and the tissue would completely cover the rock they are currently on, where does it grow from there? Will it build skeleton over the sand or how does ithe entire dome shape just grow once it reaches that limit?

Thanks
Shawn

Nice corals Shawn. I am not positive, but I think that the corals will just keep growing over their present rock or skeleton and it will be fine if you keep them on the sand or of course you can mount them on rock.

Post a new pics, I'd like to see your progress with the sad one.

So what happens when the coral tissue reaches the end of the rock it is on and finds the sand?

Here is an updated pic, some tissue filling in nice and puffy.
