If they both are 4" or bigger they should be ok. I have them next to each other they irritated each other a bit at first. They adjust and live peacefully later.

I have a cabbage (Sinularia dura) and a Lemnalia that touch - the Lemnalia dropped a branch, which landed by the cabbage and took hold immediately and they've been just fine touching each other for months now.
Yours will let you know very quickly if they're unhappy - if they react badly to each other once they touch, I'd give them a few days to adjust, and then move one if things don't improve.

I have never really had any trouble bunching softies. Kenya trees can be a little irritating to other softies but pretty much everyone else plays nice.

I had a problem with gsp touching my waving hand coral. The tip of the waving hand turned white and shrunk down.

Mine are all over each other and seem enjoy it. Have one that keeps moving closer. No problems. Look great. Reproducing.
