but... that's like saying you want 10 honda civics instead of 10 ferrari's. not as big of an exaggeration, but clearly no anthia can be compared to a chromis in terms of color. unless you're super anti anthia and love little chromis.

also to add 2 things. First the anthias get along they don't kill each other like chromis will. I can't tell you how many chromis I have had to get a school of 6 i now have.

second I got lots of them on sale 15-60$ depending on what type. Peopple always comment on the anthias ...never the chromis, but I do have about 5 times as many.

Hmmmm...
I have had 5 B/G Chromis for a year and they have shown no problems. They do not fight with anything, but are the biggest pigs of the tank at feeding time. I have to make sure to distract them so the others can feed.

My Sixline wrasse has been a bully at times, but even he only pestered a Firefish for a week. Since then no problems at all.

I have had problems with chromis and I think its inevitable that they will weed each other out to a mated pair eventually (at least in a 120)

On the other hand ... Anthias are very colorful and I have never heard of them fighting. They can be aggressive depending on the species but I'm not to worried. And the price of anthias vs. chromis doesn't matter to me. I'm putting over a grand into this tank so I'm not going to hold back buying any fish.

you saw the picture right? That would be a large 46 gallon tank. Nope they are in my 300. You can mix diffrent kinds just be sure not to have any males that look like each other or of the same kind.

I ordered a bunch of them from live aquaria . com when they had a sale. They came in very healthy!! For a 125 I would put in about 20 mixed and figure you may lose 1 or 2. That is also assuming you don't have a lot of other fish.
