For the most part Blastos do very little for me, this is the only one I have and I like the color, have no idea if its "rare" but I like it. Starting to do really well.

Guys can someone point out tome what the general needs are. I have seen so many mixed descriptions and would like to get some real world experienced opinions instead.

I currently have 2 differnet wellsi pieces one consisting of 4 red polyps and the other mixed with red and watermelon colorations.

My lighting consist of an aqualight pro 2x150 hqi's
I am using phoenix 14k's and they are propped on the legs over my tank. I have them about midway up.

Thanks alot folks and sorry to sidetrack the thread slightly. I will have pics up soon!

Thanks again,

Nick

I find that my Blasto's like lower light (I have 220 watts of PC lighting in a 36" tank), mod flow (quietones 6000 in sump and a quietones 800 in tank= ~ 1400 GPH in a 120gal system), temp of ~79-81, and I feed them directly twice a week with hikari rotifers, svC plankon supplement, and cyclopseeze.

I had one polyp that lost a 1/4 from a Favia sp. battle and that was two weeks ago and Its almost healed. Also I have at least 4 babies on a newer rock I added 4 months ago.

p.s. they look killer under UV.

Cheers

A week old pic:

New guys I just added:

Fun with UV:

Hope that helps you out Miami!
