I owned three. They are very pretty and definitely draw attention to your tank. I would recommend direct feeding (2-3 times a week). Some people think they don't need it, but it can take them a year to starve to death. I fed mine phytoplankton.

They can be fragile though. Some fish (like butterflies) may bother/eat them. I also found my hermit crabs were pretty abusive.

They also don't like large salinity fluctuations. Watch out for this during top offs and water changes.

I have 4 in my tank right now. I have not target fed any, but I am currently running skimmerless on my tank right now, so there are plenty of nutients in my tank.

To target feed them. trun off pumps heads. use an eye droper, or a needle. In newer tank (I would feed them). when you clean your glass you are feeding them as well.

I have many many white feather dusters with black dots on the fans. They are rather small (largest has an inch diameter crown.) I just set my tank up maybe 6 weeks ago and i find new baby feathers in my sand/rocks almost everyday! the only thing i add is selcon.. which is added with the food i feed my clowns

One of mine looks just like Maxi's. I have never fed them, but my tank must be doing the job.

Mine looks just as nice as the day I got it except bigger now. I have never target fed it and it is over 2 years old. They are filter feeders and should be able to get their food from the water column with no problems...
