could we use iron oxide impregnated carbon to remove P04 ?

This might be a silly question but would it be possible to use a GAC that has been impregnated with iron oxide so the GAC would also remove P04 ?

I stumbled across this article about an iron oxide impregnated GAC for removing arsenic and it made me wonder .

One could theoretically do that, but I don't see an advantage over a simple mixture of GAC and activated carbon.

fair enough, guess i just figured that people generally like using just one product if it is possible and equally effective. I also thought someone might know if it was more or less likely to release the small particles of iron oxide into the tank which i believe is one of the concerns with the current products.
