Are you running the 40 electrical outlets directly from the breaker panel or are they hooked up to another wall outlet?

I actually applaud you for sticking around. Youve got my respect for doing what you want.

It really is a nice system, its just not what i would have done; but who am i to say?

Anyway, props for doing what you want AND keeping on posting

You can wire the Indicator lights for each GFCI plug so they do not take up an available outlet. On the back of the plug there should be an electrical out. I believe if you the outlet trips it will cut power to this out. That would cut power to your light. This way you could double the number of outlets at your disposal.

You applaud people for ignoring advice that could save his tank if not his life? You applaud a setup that is probably the worst way you can do something? You have some big huevos sir because i would be afraid to stand next to this thing let alone live in the same house with it.

Im just wondering you have all those fish in a 20 gallon tank? Or are those pictures from a different tank. I like your idea of a backup system but simply a aqua controller could control your backups and such.

Interesting build, but like many others have mentioned, overkill in many ways. I hope it works for you, but keep this idea in mind for the future: KISS!

KISS principle is a colloquial name for the empirical principle that simplicity is an essential asset and goal in systems and (industrial) processes. It is popular in software, animation and engineering in general. The term KISS is an acronym of the phrase "Keep It Simple, Stupid." Many other versions have also been used, such as "Keep It Sweet & Simple" or "Keep it Simple, Sweetheart." Most of the expansions maintain the same idea of the principle, roughly corresponding to the Occam's razor and to Albert Einstein's maxim that "everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler".

Good effort though.

This thread is crazy. There are things I would do differently but everyone does things differently. Also everyone just assumes that he should do it their way instead of suggesting, but I don't blame those people for getting mad at what he is doing because he could care less and ignores all posts that try and help him. I thought it was funny when he asked for help with a paint question and no one responded because don't ask for help if you already disregard all their help for the start. Its gone way to far and at this point I just want to see some animals in there and see what if anything goes wrong to see if all the aggression was worth it.

He's doing things his way, lets not all just poop on it. Let's see how things work out.

Personally I find this thread fascinating. Very innovative.

What's the stocking plan?

While I would not do it his way, that does not mean anything. I am interested in seeing how it turns out, maybe I am wrong.
