Wife- "How much is it going to cost us to fix this 'mod' of yours your about to do?"

Power was out after earthquake. I had to go to work and got a call "The power is back on, and the pump in the stand is on, but I can't figure out how to get water in this clear U-shaped tube on the top of the tank"

Me- "Just unplug the pump and leave the airstone in there, I'll fix it when I get home".
Thankfully it's a fish only with some inverts.

I got woken up just this morning to "hey, the power went out. I think it's been off for a while."

my heart stopped.

Luckily the temp was still acceptable. There is a big storm here, still hitting us hard. I had no idea when or if the power would come back so I ran off to get our RV out of public storage and parked that thing in the driveway, and tethered some extension cords from the RV to the fish tank, fired up the generator, and prayed that the power came back before I ran out of gas. Couldn't get more gas, everything was closed because of the power outages. I was almost ready to siphon some out of my truck.

Power came back not too long after thank god, but this storm is only supposed to get worse so I'm leaving the RV where its at to be prepared for next time.

Here is a classic ...

Joel I hate that you spend all this time and money getting things for that $tup1d tank. Either you sell the thing or I walk?!

Guess who I picked?

I think your dory has ich but dont worry i treated the tank with copper and the ich should be gone by the time you get back, on the other hand your corals dont look so good.

As I was on a trip in NYC, my dad called and told me: " The water got a bit too hot so I decided I'd do a little water change on the tank."

Then I didn't know what to say... " Did you at least put salt in that water you added to the tank?"

Dad: " Oh no, I completly forgot about it!

I had 6 BTA bleached and a huge frogaspawh died when I reteurned home. It could have been worse

Husband: "Why don't you go shopping at the mall? Get some shoes and bags.....it's cheaper"

Husband (slaps the top of his head): "Oh my god, I have to go start a business so I can sell it - you are killing me."

Husband: "I wish I was a coral, then you would love me"

Just spent a bunch of money on over a dozen highly colored Aussie frags and friend looks at tank and says," it isn't as colorful as it used to be, did some of your corals die?"
