"Set it up and host it"
that would be great but our home doesn't lend it self to one of considerable size.so if it weren't too large we're game.

"Is the swap open to non-mars members"
Not sure what the standard is today but in the past aslong as you were in good standards and a member of a marine club all was good. We'll wait for the powers that be for the answer.

If I remember right from what was announced at the Christmas Party, you had to be a card carrying member of 'A' reef/marine club. Didn't have to be MARS.

If someone could point out this thread to the BOD I would greatly appreciate it!-) I already sent a link to brian prestwood. I just want to avoid misleading anyone with this thread, I would feel bad. I do appreciate all efforts made accurate or not. I now have a better understanding of what to exspect!-)
Thanks again!-)

Hopefully Paul will chime in. He has been away for a couple of days and he has all the info. He said he was going to post the details after the party....C'mon Paul, the locals are getting restless.

I don't know where Paul is, but here's what I know so far.... and it's subject to change....

Last time the BOG meet this is how it was....

There is NO buy in, Minimum 3 frags. If you don't have any frags, then hit up a local shop and support them by buying 3 frags (Or more)

Event will cost $9.00 to get in, manditory but includes your food once in

You must be a current member of "A" local club,
and you can also sign up for MARS at the event, AND attend the event that day after doing so.

That's about all I know so far...

Would you really trust Steve if you needed info ?

The date is the 9th of February.

There is no buy in. We are setting up a paypal account and for those who prepay, the price will be 9 dollars. At the door the price is $12. Food is included in the price. There is no buy in of corals and there will be a special bonus round done differently than previous swaps. I am just waiting for Pete and Brian to nail down insurance and I will do a full post. The frag swap will start at 11:30 and run through 4:00. Members of any reef club are welcome to attend. This will be an awesome event. Stay tuned

Hey there,
Sounds really good!-) what's on the menu? Maybe we should let this thread die and look forward to the "official frag swap thread". We all can stay busy fragging in the meantime!-)
Hope to see many old and new reefers!-)

Buy in??? Does that mean that a poker game is expected to break out? Frags, beer and poker. What could be better . . . besides THAT.

Seriously, is there a chance a poker game could break out?
