Ahhh shoot....those last 3 without a date on them they came from Ace's camera, I am not the photographer on those 3.

Anyways, just random shots of Amish people in PA.

Some pictures I took on my backpacking trip last summer in New Mexico:

Looking off Mt. Phillips at 11,711 feet...

A field of wild flower (in the distance) with heavy fog on the hills.

Looking off a mesa towards Colorado. I like the way the picture turned out.

All of those were taken with $12 cheap disposable cameras. That was Philmont Scout Ranch for any Boy Scouters here.

Amazing to see all the pictures you guys post! Anyway in my last post I said I would post a picture of the house that once stood in the middle of those cotton woods. Well here it is. Both of these pictures were taken up the road a little bit and kinda looking back from where the fog one was taken. My dad found all these old pictures somewhere here on the ranch (I think might have been in the owners house), and they're just pictures of all the buildings here on the place. And a few moths ago I went out and tried to retake all these pictures by at least trying to stand in exact same spot they were taken before, just wanted to do it to really see how much everything has changed.

Before

This picture was taken in 1933 (as by date on back). You can see the horse tied up on the front step.

After

Taken a few months ago in as close to the exact same spot possible. We had to tear it down some years ago because it was a disaster (quite literally, most home builders would have freaked to see how this thing was built).

xtrstangx...where was Mt. Phillips in NM? Where else did you visit in NM? I lived there from '97 til '04 - beautiful country except for the eastern plains area.

Hey and I used to live in Shawnee, KS, too! You in HS or college?

Lets just say I wouldn't have lived in it! Just some of things are it has no insulation, the right hand side of the second story was all sitting on one 2x6, there was burnt parts in the wall where the wiring had started to burn. We know somebody that actually lived in that house and he said in the winter they sealed off the second story and just lived on the first floor, and even then he said you could fly a kite with the wind blowing through. Also said you didn't dare use a flyswatter on the windows because they were so old just tapping on them would break um right out.

Not really sure but it looks like it belongs to the order Neuroptera. This order includes ant lion, lace wings, snake flyes and alder flies.
