Here are some pics of the Fungia. Actual size is about 4 1/2" across to give you an idea of the size. Fits nicely in the corner I have it in.

I think if you go to the first post of this thread, it will take you back to the first 103 page thread. GregT recently split some of these huge threads as they were apparently affecting performance. After all, my 280g thread even was listed on page one of Google if you type "Melev" in the search field.

I'll have to look up "spiny oyster" in Google to see what I can find. Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know much about the orange ball anemones beside the 7 links I looked at on page one of Google, but they don't seem to be causing any problems at all. I've found them within two different patches of zoos so far, and they are only visible at night when the zoos are closed. During the day time the orange ball anemones are hidden. Almost like they are taking turns.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to start my sump this weekend as planned. However, I did check out a local sponsor in Glen Rose (south of Granbury) today, and came home with some new goodies.

2 Disbar Anthias (I saw them join my other one after a couple of hours)
5 Fighting Conchs (as all of mine have perished for some reason)
3 huge (grape-sized) nassarius snails
and another skimmer.

You can see it in comparison to the monster skimmer Gmacy brought over for me to test. I didn't want to build my sump and later find the ER 12-2 wouldn't fit. The ER's footprint is 18" x 24" easily. It stands 30" tall, and the reaction chamber is 12" wide. Powered by two Sedra 5000 needle-wheel pumps, I'm betting this skimmer will do the job on my tank. It is rated for 500g, and is brand new with full warranty. This is the first new skimmer I've ever owned. (Huge fan of buying used)

I also came home with a very large piece of Pavona that was unidentified at Big Fish Aquatics. Once I got home and took a couple of pictures I knew it was a Pavona due to the pattern.

If you want to see more pictures I took today, here's the link: http://www.dfwmas.com/cgi-bin/ikonbo...0;&#entry80595

Hey Marc, I noticed you took a closup picture of the hydor pico pump. Was there something to it or was it just a random pic? I've never seen one before.

Oh yeah. That is the pump he recommended for the Phosban Reactor, and runs $16. I figured sometimes people want to know what pump to use for the reactor, so I snapped a picture.

I have a pump for the SS that might work out well. It is a Little Giant Pump (4-MDQX-SC Circulation Pump 1,325 gph) that I got used yesterday.

Ride,, the becket wont fit where he needs it to,, thats why he got the Euroreef...... He only has about 28 inches of space under the tank and the room behind is comfortable for one maybe two people and that tower would be in the way of everything behind the tank..

Marc, I have been following the thread and your website is well inspirational and helpful. I got a killawatt device to measure the electricity and therefore the $$ it costs to run my tank eack month. Have you thought about doing any calculations like this since there is not essentially one plug running the tank?

Hope those giant skimmers work out good.

Marc you'll love that Euroreef. I will love to see your reaction when you hook it up and get to compare to your old skimmer!
