Average daily evaporation for a 4'x18" surface area

Wondering what you guys are experiencing for an average
daily vap. rate for a 90 gallon tank with two MH's ...
Trying to figure out return section capacities and would appreciate any inputs as far as what is a normal daily loss.
Obviously higher in the winter but looking for some ball parks.
Thnks in advance

Cheers,
Brian

I have the same tank/light setup and I lose anywhere between 1/2 and 1 gallon/day depending on whether or not I'm running fans.

Do you run your fans (or one of them 24/7) are you losing more
with the fans on (more air movement) or with the fans off
(more heat/more evap.)??? Sorry for the newbie question?

running fans will increase the amount of water you lose to evap. I run fans when needed to keep the tank cool on warmer days.

I think I lose 3 or 4 gallons per day, but I have additional surface area of 2 30 breeders and I run fans constantly.
