screws for a stand/canopy build
I am getting ready to build a stand and canopy for a 75G and was wanting to know from you guys what the best type of screws to use would be? I am thinking of either stainless or an exterior deck screw?

rnhrtfan,
I used outside deck screws. 3 or 3.5 inches long.

I used 2" deck screws with the protective coating. Use enough of them and it will be plenty strong.

I have used both, SS and deck screws. Both work well IMO.

Going to Deck screw also bc of the protective coat to prevent rusting.

I used galvanized deck screws, all pre drilled and counter sunk. It really didn't matter though since all joint are lap joints and glued with exterior grade glue. The screws were mostly to hold it in place while the glue joints were clamped and drying.
