Shrimp Question

Recently purchased a peppermint shrimp from a LFS. Everytime I feed the tank he comes out to get this share, but I have noticed in the past two days his tail has some black coloration to it. Is this normal or should I be concerned with the apperance of this color. When I first got it it was the normal translucent with red striping. Just wondering you anyone new. Thanks.

Mine has black on the end of his tail. It has been that way for some time and it seems quite healthy. I wouldn't worry. BTW, any updated pics to post in your gallery?

Some black markings are the sign of a disease, but even if infected, the shrimp should last for a while.
