Trip to Tennessee Aquarium

I need to get a head count of who all wants to go to the Tennessee Aquarium...

All members will get a free ticket into the Aquarium...

We plan to do the behind the scenes tour, so plan accordingly...

Stolen from www.tennesseeaquarium.com :

Behind-the-scenes tour tickets may be added to your Aquarium admission ticket. Price is $15 per person. Member tickets may be purchased for $12 per person. Groups of 10 or more are $13 per person. Tour participants meet at the Members Entrance of River Journey at 2:30 p.m. and the tour begins at 3 p.m. Please be aware that space is limited for behind-the-scenes tours.

As of right now, we are going to shoot to make this trip in the beginning of February... Please sign up if you are going to attend and how many tickets you are needing for your family...

I would like to go! I will try to bring a guest with me (will update when I know).

I will also talk with Mr. Demas (curator of fishes) to see if he would be available/able to lead the behind-the-scenes tour, as he would certainly be able to answer the kind questions this group might tend to ask

We have been talking about trying to do this down here - We just don't have much participation going on right now.

Would you guys let a few of us chatt town reefers come along?? I'll bring the "apple" juice!! Seriously though, let me know if you guys would let us do sortof a joint venture.

I'll have to check with my contact... She's doing this as a favor to me and I don't want to take advantage of the situation...

count me and the family in - so I will need 4 tickets. I will probably be the only one who does the behind the scenes tour though.

Ok, we have been given a definate number of 20 tickets... I should get them the week after Thanksgiving... So they will only be given to Club Members...

I'm glad club participation is cranking up again... But when I mentioned it to her, I was like, yeah, we'll get lucky to have 20 of us attend...

Priority will be given to club members, then family members if any are left over...

I would really like to go.

I need to know the date to know for sure if I can or not though.

The Avian wildlife and exotics club from school typically takes a trip up there as well so if this one fills up I can probably go with them instead.

thanks, Chris

Randy...I might have a guest. Put me in the 'one guest' category (if club members don't take up all the tickets).

I'd like to go and bring my one or both of my sons if there are tickets enough for all three of us. I can't do the behind-the-scenes tour, though, unless kids get a discount.

I want to reitterate that we only have 20 tickets.

Just so it is known we will only be given 20 tickets. We must all remember that the Tennessee Aquarium is a NON-profit organization. I suppose I mispoke at the meeting saying that it would be free for family members as well... But attendance has been lacking in the club recently, and for some reason I didn't think this would generate the interest it has... We should consider this a $400 donation to the club by the TN Aquarium... The aquarium counts on its own donations and volunteers in order to keep it up and running, and we should not take for granted what they have given us... I will not ask for more than the 20 tickets she has offered, and if that means that I have to pay for Ashley to come then so be it... 20 tickets will cover all current members... If there are any left over, then family members will be considered...
