Question Help ID Please

Hey All,

Just got this colony. Please help me ID as I have no clue. Took me forever to get the white balance right on the camera only to get halfway decent pictures. Thanks in advance!

I agree, I couldn't pass it up when I saw it. Now if only we could find out what exactly it is. I think I'm going to try and get even better macro shots of the corallite to help. Will post hopefully by tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply. I actually had a buddy of mine look at it from Richmond and he said the same. Hopefully I can figure out my camera to get some corallite pictures, been having a big of trouble with that.

Thanks!

Hey all!

Thanks for your replies. I think we can say it's a Chester!

I'm still going to try and upload more macro pics just for the heck of it. Thanks again. When it grows out a bit more, I'll give first dibs to those who replied :-P

Hate to throw a monkey wrench into the discussion, but A. chesterfieldensis has appressed radials and the apical coralites are about twice the size of the radials. I think we have A. ocellata or possibly A. bushyensis here. It may be too soon to tell for sure.

Just a New Years thought....
