Dosing Redox + for cyno

hi I am having cyno problem in my tank and read somewhere that
feeding Redox+ will help. Planning to get this tomorrow. Is this ok?
I am also reducing the light and what i feed.

Please let me know if any one had any issues with this redox+ thing. If there is a better product pl let me know ..

One more Q...
I have a remora c thats is not skimming very well .. today i took it out and see some white spongy things inside (a lot of them).. inside the main skimmer..
Any one has any idea what these are and how can i clean inside the remore?

Thanks for the help ..

I wouldn't dose an oxidizer to deal with cyano again, having done it once or twice. More current, less feeding, macroalga export, and better skimming are good ideas to consider, IMO.

The Remora might have a lot of sponges or tunicates inside. Unless they're restricting flow a lot, I don't think they're a problem. A picture might help. I just use a toothbrush or the like for cleaning most skimmer parts.
