Ill be in the st paul area but I think we'll be going to IKEA and really are willing to drive to a good store with decent prices and pretty, healthy corals, which are your favorites??

Im looking to pick up some ricordia floridas and some colorful zoanthids. If any local reefers have any for sale too that would an option!!

thanks benihana!

I have these available - all of them are already fragged, and at about 20 polyps each. Normally they go for $2/polyp, but I am doing $1/polyp for them. You can see pictures in this thread - http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...5&pagenumber=2 go almost all the way down on page two.

- Eagle Eyes -
- Blue/Purple/Red
- Green Bay Packers

I work about 5 miles west of IKEA, so we could work something out during the days you are there.

Let me know if you are interested

As far as fish stores go, there are quite a few in that area. There are two older stores - Something Fishy & World of Fish. Both of these stores have a decent amount of saltwater stuff, but IMO are WAY overpriced.

There are two new stores - Saltwater Empire and Ocean Devotion that have a TON more livestock and at much more reasonable prices.

I would just check www.dexknows.com for their phone numbers and addresses.

The only ones I know of are at a store by me...I think he sells them for about $25-$45/polyp...not really sure if that is expensive or not...if you want me to pick some up for you, let me know

The store in Ramsey is called Premier Pets. It is OK, and has a decent amount of SW fish, but not much in the way of corals when compared to Ocean Devotion or Saltwater Empire.

While they do/did have more of a selection than most stores, the two stores mentioned above have a better selection and better atmosphere, far and away

I was in the pet store by the mall last summer and they did have one tank with saltwater in it...not too much for livestock, but at least they were trying...are they overpriced or can't get the stuff you want/need....maybe both??

that is kind of what I thought...it makes me wonder how people can stay in business when they practically rape the consumer who is willing to purchase from them...oh well...I guess it is Darwin's theory of evolution for business!

I Agree...to a certain extent. while I am willing to support a LFS, I am not willing to spend $90 on a pump that I know I can get online for $35 shipped...just seems a little crazy and even borders on being a little rude.

I agree with you 100% Ben I would love to give my LFS the money but he even told me he can't beat the prices of the online vendors.
