Looks like Faviidae, and most likely Favites sp. (closed brain)

If you are looking for that specific color combination, it appears as though the picture has been formatted to be black and white with only the green color remaining. Basically, not its true colors.

(Look at the top right corner. The background of the tank is grey...)

Thanks, keckles, I was having a hard time getting my brain to wrap around that color. Something in me kept rejecting it! I felt that way when I first saw a dyed anemone in a lfs. Wish I had you around then...

Here is a natural color that is pretty close to the coral shown above. Maybe if you search long enough, you will find it...

(Note that the coral above is meant for color similarities and not an identification)

Yes, it is nice. But, in reality the grey part of the coral is most likely brown. Still a cool coral, though.

Thanks man,
If I knew what I was searching for I would have. I'm an SPS guy.

sometimes I see decent ones on drmacandsons.com. Mummra has a great collection, you might want to pm him to see if he has any suggestions. It's so much easier for those CA reefers!

Also, check with a good LFS in your area. If they are using a decent wholesaler, they should be able to request specific corals and colorations. It may not be available immediately, but something new is always added to the lists so it might show up one day. Don't be afraid to make a request, any decent store should be willing to at least check for you.

You could also post in the Want to Buy Forum on RC, or browse through some of the trading sites such as frags.org.

Good luck in your search, let us know if you find it

Favites are also known as Pineapple or sometimes brain corals. My LFS has a nice one I've been thinking of buying for quite some time now. They are definitely NOT that color in real-life though. That photo was obviously doctored for advertising purposes. They are neon green, yes, but that grey I've never seen before in natural favite sp. I could take any photo of a coral and make it look like that using Fireworks or Photoshop.
