who here is into favia and faviites???

don't get me wrong.....i love my acros,acans,montis and so on but has anybody noticed that the faviids are starting to look really sweet?

i just bought like five different favia and faviites and all are ones i have not seen before. yellows, sparkle greens, three color variants.

who else is into these often overlooked group of corals (they are cousins to acans and micros who get all the love)? post some pics of your amazing and different color or patterned faviids.

i will post pics of mine tonight.

My wife and I are big time favia nuts. As soon as we get the 2nd 58 setup and move all the zoas over there, our current 58 will house almost exclusively faviides. We'll call it "think tank". Clever, eh?
We've got 7 different faviides in there now, and another at the LFS awaiting room in our 58.

The white balance is off a little in some pics, but you get the idea.

Hey, TheMcs! I'm a Dane person, too. I'll have to post some photos of my two girls for ya. They're my buds.

To keep with the spirit of the thread, my first favia:

Oooh, Melissa, nice shot! Someday I will be into favias, no room for now. We never see any nice LPS in this area, so I'm going to have to get everything on the net.

Scott gave me away, I've got a few more to share.
Here's the Christmas favia, my b-day present from Scott;

My blue favia;

the yellow ball (not really white, it's about the size of a softball);

Not really sure if it's a favia or faviites or something else...The colors in the pic are a bit washed out, it's orange with lime-green centers...but when just the dusk/dawn lights are on it completly opens up and is all lime-green.
