OK. Here is the deal.

We have set a date of May 19 (Thursday). Saturday is open to retail so if we go then, there are the walk-ins to deal with. I will confirm with Dr. Mac that we can come on that day but they said earlier it should not be a problem given enough notice.

Reefsurge are you in to drive that day ? Sam has said he is in to drive.

If we get enough people confirmed to go that day, I will confirm with Dr. Mac.

Oh yeah as far as any discounts on the group buy and shipments, PM me if you want to know. Not as big a discount as I had hoped but it is still great to get.

Thats up to the drivers but I think as early as possible without getting ridiculous. Depending on who rides with who, I think its appropriate to make it as convenient for thos driving as possible.

So thats 3 confirmed so far.

I'll be driving that day. I think we should leave by at least 7am.

I need to get a count of how many are coming and who will need a ride. I live in Danbury, so I would like those that ride with me to meet around Brewster/Danbury line. I will confirm exact location later on, but I believe there is a convenient commuter lot right off I84 that would work out great.

FYI I can only seat 6.

One traveler so far: rocktigod

Thanks
Serg

So far reefsurge and Sam are driving with a total of 4 confirming they are in for the trip.

I think the fair thing would be for all the riders splitting gas and tolls equally (those buying but not making trip pay an equal share). Sam and Reefsurge should not have to pay since its their vehicles we are using. Feel free to disagree or propose something else. This is just what I thought would be fair.

So that looks like it. I assume everyone who is interested has expressed their intent. The Magnificent 7.

Not sure about Nick (SI) and Sora (LI). I think its up to the drivers regarding pickup/ meeting somewhere on the way.

We are penciled in at Dr. Mac's on the 19th bit we have to call them a few days ahead to remind them we are coming and give them a time, so someone please remind me...

those people driving don't forget to leave room for coral boxes and you might check with your LFS about styrofoam boxes or coolers should be cheaper than buying their boxes especially if you can pick them up from local store for free. and don;t forget to invite your lfs to get in on the group buy. Might get you wholesale pricing plus cherrypicking.

I don't see the need for two vehicles if that's all we are getting for interested folks. Two in mine, is truly a waste of wear and tear on my truck and not fair especially since they will have to pay for the gas.

Last call for any that are still interested, or I will part with driving responsibility and hopefully find room with Sam.

Sorry folks...I will not be driving this thing. Not that many interested reefers....too bad, I was really looking forward to checking this place out. Anyway to those that were planning on driving with me, I apologize and wish it would of worked out better. Dan...maybe we should get some numbers of people interested before we go out making permanent travel dates;next time!

Maybe someone can pick out something nice for me, LOL.

Good suggestion, Serg. I just put the date out there and anyone interested on that date just went with it. This is a really informal thing. Anyone can go there anytime. If someone (or group) preferred a different date, they certainly did not suggest it to me or this board . I was open to any date really.
