FS: Blackbar chromis $5

We’re in the process of upgrading our tank from a 55g to a 90g. We decided to go a slightly different route with the fish, so thought this would be a good time to give some away. We currently have 7 blackbar chromis and are looking to get rid of 3 or 4 of them.

They are real cute, but they don’t school (at least not in our 55g). They get along well with everyone else (fairy wrasse, sleeper goby, clown goby, false percs) in our tank, but fought when they were in a 10g quarantine tank together (even when there were only 2 of them).

These are small chromis – will only get to be about 1.5 to 2 max. I’ve had them about 5 or 6 months and have not had any problems.

Is anyone interested? $5 each.

Bump.

So we have 3 blackbar chromis to sell! We put 4 in our 90g tank and they're wonderful. Actually hanging out together.

Of the three left, there is a small, medium, and a large one. I notice now that the large one is the bully. The small and medium fish hang out together, but the large one picks on them both.

Anyone interested in the small and medium ones? $5 for both

Or the large one (can't be with other blackbar chromis)? FREE!

Thanks!

After about 5-6 months of looking and emailing online dealers every week and hounding Yale at QA (a LFS), LiveAquaria finally got some in. They always said "Coming Soon" before that, but "soon" is a relative term :-) And of course in the first shipment - most were dead so I had to wait for them to get more in and order again. Between the price of the fish and shipping - they ended up being about $13 each. Shipping sucks!

They are definitely cool looking! We wanted some chromis, but wanted something different than just the blue-green kind that everyone has. Their official name is "Chromis retrofasciata".

2 are now spoken for, so I have 1 left - the large one. FREE to good home!

IMHO, I don't think it would be worth the money to ship him to Texas. Judging from online vendor prices, I think FedEx overnight shipping is about $25-$30.
