29 gallon reef
Hello,I have a 29 gallon tank. Its drilled with two inlets and one outlet with a strainer. Its water drains to a 20 high gallon tank. Its skimmed with a corallife 125 gph protien skimmer.water gets pumped back up with a 1268 gph pump and recirculated. It has a 150 watt 10k metal halide. It also has a calcium reactor filled with Arm calcium media. My question is would I be able to grow with success sps corals?I read you usually need 8 to 10 watts per gallon is this true.

i think you would be ok on the lighting. but i would move to a bluer light 12 - 15k depending on taste. 10k is kinda yellow for sps with out acentic supplimation

The depth of your tank is way more important than Watts/gallon. IMO 150 watts of 10k MH lighting is penty for a 29.
