don't buy anything from them. inferior quality. if you're getting a big tank get something with starphire glass front from a well-known high quality manufacturer.

I have a 280 gallon tank from Glasscages. It was custom built to my specifications and I have no complaints. There are horror stories for every manufacturer. Let's face it - putting a vessel that holds 200+ gallons of water in your home is a leap of faith, regardless of who made it.

180 with eurobrace no complaints costumer service not good,
if you have the $$$ to spend in a ELOS or any other high end brands "spend it".
bottom line is NOT a high end product, but does the job and with a little TLC and patience you can have a great tank, ah and built your own furniture theirs is not nice
just my 2 cents

I have a 390 and am very pleased.
ReefArtist has a 280 and Poknsnok has a 220, both from GC, both are Starfire, and both of them are very happy with their tanks.
Do a search on RC and you will find lots more TANK OWNERS complaining about problems with tanks that are not from GC.

I have a 225 GC tank & Im happy for the most part. I will more than likely order elsewhere next time. You get what you pay for thats for sure. I think the tank will hold water fine & looks ok until you look close... they lack detail.
I didnt have to deal with customer service except when I ordered & they didnt want to take much time making sure we were on the same page. I can only imagine how they would be if you had a problem & have heard many stories. I think next time I will look elsewhere.

No problems here. 300, 220, 110, and a 70 all from glass cages. Had some scratches on my 300 but this is something I missed prior to purchase.

What is the website for Elos? I have been looking at the Glasscages and wanted to compare the high end tanks.

brward5, just curious have you ordered a tank from Glasscages? I got mine a couple of months ago and it was a very good transaction from beginning to end. I got starfire on 3 sides as ordered. Sump and stand were as ordered as well. A lot of people that bash them have never even ordered a tank they just spit out what they have "heard".

Have you ever had an All Glass Aquarium brand? How does the Glasscages compare to that?

I totally agree.

I currently have a 280 glasscages tank, also "HAD" a 360 gallon from them that DID in fact crack after 13 months of use there is a thread on here somewhere about it. I cant bash them too bad because if it had been their fault it probably would have cracked sooner. Sometimes IT just happens.

All things considered, I would recommend glass cages because they make thousands of tanks each year and they great majority have no issue's whatsoever.

I noticed on their website just one overflow in the middle. How does that work out? I currenty have a 120 with two overflows and I really don't like the way they look. They take up too much room. If I was to get a 180 should it have two overflows or one?
And can you specify to them how many or does it come standard with one? I also like the fact you can order a blue cover for it.

I was looking at 150g, and noticed that it had only one overflow with 2 holes, is that enough?

I checked their price and found I could get a Deep Sea Aquatic tank cheaper. They are the old Oceanic group in Dallas. The tank I got from Deep Sea is a 185. 60x30x26.

The site is http://www.deepseaaquatics.net. I bought this on 11-16-07 from the LFS and had it in 1 week. Alot better tank then Glasscage. Friends have the cage and not the quality as the Deep Sea.
also mine is the reef ready.

Did you get the neo model? I like that overflow, in the center. Awesome. How much did it cost approximately? Keep up posted on how it works out for you.
